Looks like it had a good life and served you well.

But I can totally see how convenient it would be for the two of you, it would be great for making mini pizzas and warming/broiling/crisping stuff without having to turn on the big oven.

I do love my toaster though, it just has a certain aroma when toasting and nothing beats the texture you get with it. Ours is an Aroma Prestige, four slice, wide slot toaster that we bought at Home Deopot many years ago. It has removable crumb trays at the bottom to help keep it clean. I have to say it is quite a large toaster too.

Like Olivia mentioned, you can always pick up a cheapy toaster and splurge on the toaster oven if you think it would be useful for other tasks besides just toasting bread.

Since you cook so much you NEED a toaster oven. Too useful to be without. If you miss a toaster (never happen) you can buy one later for $20 (but you won’t) 🙂 xoO

We got our toaster oven going on 2 years ago, and briefly considered getting rid of our toaster (to free up the counter space) but I prefer the toaster for making toast. I do love the toaster oven though – no need to heat up the big oven for something small. I baked scones in the toaster oven a few weeks ago, when the weather was still really warm, and it was nice not to heat up the house.

On one side they take up valuable counter space, but I think that is far outweighed by the pros. It’s much smaller than your oven, making it energy-wise, and if you’re looking to just melt some cheese or warm up last nights pizza, it’s quite handy as it heats up much faster than an oven. The one thing I never did was make toast in it.

I only use the toaster for toast, easier than the toaster oven. The toaster oven I have is a B&D convection from Costco. Reasonably priced. Can cook a 12″ pizza. The top gets REALLY hot so you cannot have anythin resting on it but I think that is the same with all toaster ovens. I use it to bake sweet potatoes and smaller things.
Good luck with your decision!

Fascinating. Sandy. Mercury going retrograde is an astrological event that turns anything to do with electronics and communication upside down on its head. If I didn’t believe in astrology, I sure do now because I have had so many things go wrong it’s insane!

I’m confused, man, totally confused. Don’t ask me about toasters!

It is old and scary looking, my last roommate left it behind, but it still works.

I vote for toaster oven because it is much more useful. I rarely have an issue toasting bread in it and we use it to heat up frozen snacks, cold pizza, melt cheese on things, the list goes on and on. I’ve even finished dinner in there since its just two of us.
