Halloween Kit Kat Frankenstein Treats

Halloween Kit Kat Frankenstein Treats

When I saw Dashboard Frankenstein Kit Kats, I knew I wanted to try making them. I already had the mini Reese’s Pieces and a Kit Kat bar so why not?!

Other than that I used canned white frosting, green food colouring, black gel, mini chocolate chips and black string liquorice.

I dyed a little of the white frosting green.

And really, that was the only prep involved!

I smeared on some of the green frosting onto the “head” of my future foodie Frankenstein.

I topped it with an inverted mini peanut butter cup and rested everything on parchment paper to contain the mess.

I tried to paint a thin line for the scar on the forehead with black gel but once again, it was globby.

I did not have white confetti sprinkles so I put some of the frosting in a small ziploc bag, cut the tip and added white eyballs.

I topped them with mini chocolate chips and used small pieces of black liquorice to add the bolts to the side of the head and the classic Frankenstein frown.

I admit, mine aren’t half as cool looking as theirs but I think the essence of Frankenstein is clearly there.

Thankfully, these were also quite tasty! And they set up well if you let them sit for a bit to let the frosting harden a little. These are tasty, fun to eat and definitely spooky.

So cute! They’d be a fun treat for kids to help make.

Would love to do this for my kid’s Halloween treats for school. But need to find a replacement for the Reese as they are a nut-free school.
