Contest is now closed! Good luck everyone!

Just like I promised in my newsletter, today is the big giveaway for a little foodie out there: Little Tikes Backyard Barbeque Get Out ‘N Grill. Imagine your wee one out in the backyard playing BBQ right beside you!

Thank you Heinz Canada for donating this generous prize that has an approximate retail value of $50 CDN! You are going to make a little foodie out there very happy.

A perfect item to encourage kids to get outside this spring/summer and enjoy BBQ.

I can tell you, I would have loved to have played with this besides my dad who makes the best barbecue chicken ever!

Everything fits inside grill cupboards for easy storage. There is a starter button and clicking knobs, an 8-piece playset and includes towel bar.

How to enter

  1. You must live in Canada.
  2. Tell me about your favourite BBQ recipe. What do you look forward to making outside once the sun and its warmth finally returns?
  3. Leave contact information so I can contact you directly if you win.
  4. Winner must respond without 48 hours of being contacted.
Contest is open all weekend. Winner will be chosen on Monday April 30th. Thank you again Heinz Canada for the giveaway and for working so hard to come up with more Earth-friendly packaging.

OK, so let’s talk about barbecue foodies!!!

Oh that is so cute! Hmmm, favourite bbq stuff ~ we haven’t ever had our *own* bbq to use, but I’ve had lots of delicious bbq’ed veggie burgers at my mother-in-law’s place! 🙂

My littlest just saw this and wants to start “tooking” (cooking) for his brothers!

I love to cook anything on the BBQ, but this year I plan to try pizza!

My little girl grandchildren would just LOVE this!

Favourite recipe for my husband (I don’t eat dead animals) is bacon wrapped pork loin placed in a small foil tray and barbequed for about an hour on fairly high heat!

Oh my that has to be the cutest thing ever.

My favourite recipe is making my own burger patties – carmalised onions, blue cheese and bacon (I only began making my own patties after moving to Canada)

    What a great giveaway!

My favorite has to be a corn on the cob and a rack of ribs with a scrumptious homemade bbq sauce. I make huge amounts of the one found at the link below and then freeze it. It is the best bbq sauce I’ve ever tried!

This is so cute! My boys would love it. I love to barbecue chicken breasts and then use them throughout the week for chicken burgers, salads, stirfry.

We are burger lover and used to love for Stilton stuffed burgers. Now we put PCBlacklabel Taste#5Umami in the meat and top w/sharp cheddar.

This is soooooo cute! My most favorite barbecue recipe is the stuffed portobello mushroom. You take a portobello mushroom and oil it up and stuff the top with sausage meat with cut up onions and garlic all mixed together in the meat and cook it on a low temperature barbecue for 30 minutes then put cheese on my top and continue cooking until the cheese is nicely melted and brown then serve. It is a summer family favorite

Great give-away for a budding young foodie! We BBQ all year round outside, although living in NL that can be a bit challenging at times :S We enjoy everything BBQ’d from fruit and veggies to steak and fish. One of our all time favourites is beer-can chicken.

As a West coast girl, BBQ salmon is the epitome of summer. A marinade of one part soy sauce to two parts maple syrup and grill until just perfect. So good with potato salad and micro greens.

We’re just moving into a place where we’re allowed to use the BBQ again and my 19 mo daughter would love this.
