Although I had issues with the other two Luvo products I tried, I was a bit more optimistic about their Kale Ricotta Ravioli frozen meal.
This time I did not share with Reg. I had it just for myself after a long walk. I needed a healthy lunch.
It arrived in the same brown paper bag as the other two products did and was cooked the same way in the oven.
It slid out onto my plate and looked quite fabulous. Again, it contains no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.
The pasta is in a fire roasted tomato sauce which was quite tasty. The pasta itself quite lovely. It was the filling I had issue with. I did not taste any ricotta. All I could taste was kale. I am not a big fan of kale. I would have much preferred spinach inside this pasta because then I could have potentially tasted the ricotta, kale is such a strong flavour.
That said, if you like kale, Luvo’s Kale Ricotta Ravioli is an impressive frozen meal. I personally would not buy it because of my lack of fondness for the ever hip and trendy super food but if you do, I give this product four out of five wooden spoons.
