I am so tired I just can’t take photos of my foodie treasures from Toronto so I made a quick video revealing them. Enjoy!
Kensington Market has always been one of the coolest places to go shopping. Growing up in the burbs of Toronto, I never felt hip enough to really hang out there. Now, I couldn’t care less. I just wanted to have fun with my sisters and check things out!
There is always stuff going on in the market and so much to see.
I was on a strict budget so no new wardrobe for me but it was awesome to admire everything.
One of the places Jamie recommended going to was Courage My Love. I could not believe it was still around!
Seriously hip, cool, retro and awesome… I had not been to this store in eons.
I almost bought these glasses. I only stopped myself because I figured they would be break on the way home.
I mean how many places have a boat with a mannequin draped in white with a parasol?
I did actually buy stuff from this store but you will have to check out my video to what it is I found there!
I really wanted to go to Kitchen Stuff Plus but did not think I was going to fit it into my trip. Shannon and I went out to dinner right by the store after a movie so I just had to go in.
This store has everything for great prices. The only thing missing? Friendly staff. It was near closing and nobody seemed very nice or happy I am afraid.
I couldn’t believe it! So much like Rachael Ray’s famous garbage bowls for only $5!
A gadget geek like me finds stores like this one impossible to resist.
Seriously, cast iron Dutch ovens for under $100. I could not believe it! Oh how I wish I could have bought one of those and taken it home but they weigh a ton.
If you want to see what I ended up buying, make sure to check out my video reveal. I am just too bloody tired to take photos right now. Yup, I am that tired.
Totally a foodie shopping paradise. Can’t wait to go back with a bigger budget one day!
Great video! Congrats on the mortar and pestle and the herbes de Provence especially!
I’m just loving reliving the trip through your posts, Suzie! So wonderful.
The video was awesome. I love hearing your voice and seeing all the treasures. And great way to intersperse the pictures too!
What an adventure we had!
The Kitchen Store was a total treat to go to with you, and such a random walk by! I still can’t believe how heavy those cast iron pots were!
I loved going to Courage my Love with You are Jamie! I don’t know if we’ve ever been there with all three of us before.
Thanks Debra! Definitely my foodie highlights.
Jamie, I should have mentioned you in the video too! But I only had the pic of Shannon, LOL. Thank you, so glad you liked the video, I worked hard on that and tried a new intro technique.
Shannon, I can’t believe we fit Kitchen Stuff Plus in, totally by accident. I guess the foodie gods up there wanted me to go! Yes, the cast iron pots are ridiculous! I can order them online though and get free shipping. 🙂 Totally going to do that when I have some money.
I don’t think we have ever gone to Courage My Love together. I think I have always gone alone, actually. So cool we could go as a sister gang together!
WOWWWWWWW looks like you all had a ton of fun!!!!!!!
I really love the iron mortar & pestle set! I think the texture is a smart idea, and now that I am thinking about it, I wonder why all of them aren’t made that way?
Are those real people sitting on the roof of Courage My Love???? Also, I really love their light!!!
