We had a real pumpkin hunt this year! Superstore was out of pumpkins and we went to a few other places with no luck. Then I remembered taking this photo of Killarney Market

This is what we found when we got to the store… Pumpkins! A lot fewer but they were there. Every single person in line when we were there was buying at least one pumpkin. Even as we sat in the car anxious to get home to carve them we saw people picking up the last few ones left.

While I gutted the pumpkins Reg got to decorating with some of our classic props.

This is one of my favourites!

Reg got creative with Drop Dead Fred’s head, hanging it on top of a planter!

We got out our scary Halloween creatures.

And TONS of candy of course! Last year we actually ran out.

We did not know if the weather was going to hold. They called for rain all day but suddenly before the sun went down the clouds disappeared!

IMG_6064

It was a Halloween miracle.

Reg even had time to get dressed up as a wizard which the kids LOVED!

I personally think he did a fantastic job on the jack-o-lanterns too.

IMG_6121

We got well over 40 trick-or-treaters which was fantastic and even have some candy leftover.

Vancouver fireworks were going like crazy too and then all of a sudden, the rain came back ferociously!

This one is for you Debra!

Our second Halloween back on the west coast was a huge success and we have already brought in all the props so it will be like our magical spooky place never existed.

Although we know that our lives are always magical and delicious!

Reg and I hope that you also had a fantastic Halloween too!

Thanks, Suzie! It’s just not Halloween until I see the severed arm in the mailbox, LOL! I was out of town this year for Halloween so I’m late getting around to everyone’s posts. But I loved this one! And OMG, Reg’s white hair is so long now that he just makes a PERFECT magician. But what’s a magician without his witchy better half? You both look fab.

I was totally thinking of you when I took that photo! And now we have an arm coming out of the mail slot in our door too, LOL. Isn’t Reg’s hair so long now? You know that cap has fake white hair attached to it and you couldn’t tell which was the fake hair from the real hair. Same colour and length! Thank you! I had a very bad migraine but am glad I donned my witch’s cap for the evening. The kids LOVED it!
