Happy Thanksgiving Canadian foodies!!! How is it going in your kitchens?
Life has been pretty rough here. Even the weather with tropical storms slamming into us but we got to the grocery store, finally stocked up and now can celebrate with food again.
We also got to Kin’s Farm Market, my absolute favourite place to shop in the world.
I love listening to classical music on a blustery autumn day perusing the produce.
Right now I have pumpkins, butternut squash and sweet potatoes slow roasting in the oven.
I am working ahead of time so that tomorrow will be super easy to put together.
They did not have any fresh whole turkey breasts left at the store (just cutlets) so I picked up this Boneless Stuffed Turkey Breast by Butterball. It takes four hours in the oven which I am glad I checked ahead of time. I have had so little luck with roasting turkey in the past, I hope this makes it easy for me.
Not sure I am going to have enough pumpkin to make Anna Olson’s Pumpkin Pie (the best in the world) so if not, I will make tarts instead. I hated pumpkin pie until I made this one and now, I can not wait to dig in! Fingers crossed that two small pumpkins will give me 2 cups of pumpkin.
If you are celebrating this weekend, I hope that there are lots of foodie treasures being cooked up and baked in your kitchen.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Reg.
Thank you Shell!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Reg, Suzie! I’ve had that stuffed turkey breast roll before and it’s okay. This year a friend of ours made us a real pumpkin pie from scratch and OMG was it good!
So glad you had a great Thanksgiving and yes, real pumpkin pie? OMG!!!
A very happy Thanksgiving to you both. Your dinner looks divine!!
Thank you Auntie Laima!!! I hope you and Uncle M. had a wonderful dinner too. 🙂 Miss you!
Happy Thanksgiving. Looks great. We do Harvest meals like this every week and I flippin’ love it. Best time of year, and the week. Wishing you a yummy day.
What a wonderful way to celebrate food all year!
