I was so excited when I bought a ravioli press at Value Village for just $10! This was months ago. Why haven’t I used it?
The Problem
Because it was missing a foot! Which is probably why someone donated it. OK fine. I decided to fix it. But with what? Sugru!
The Technical Difficulties
Sugru fixes stuff. Which is why we bought some two years ago. What I didn’t know?
It has an expiration date! When I went to shoot the video of me fixing my ravioli press, it was no longer moldable rubber. You can watch my first flashback video of me getting upset about it here.
The Solution
Ask for help! I voiced my woes on Twitter and Sugru came to my rescue. They sent me a couple of fresh packets for me to product test.
I finally could make a video of me using Sugru to make a foot for my ravioli press.
Just 24 hours later and the new foot was ready. My ravioli press is now perfectly level and I can FINALLY make ravioli with it!
The Product Review
Sugru is not food safe but it is kitchen-friendly and saved my foodie butt! Sugru comes in many colours and you can get 3 packs for $12 U.S. + shipping.
If you have a nagging kitchen issue that self-curing moldable plastic will fix, this is definitely worth the investment. Just remember to use it before the expiration date so you don’t lose it, literally, like I did.
Thank you Sugru. It worked like a charm! I give your product five out of five wooden spoons.
Wow! I’ve never heard of Sugru before. I’ll keep it in mind for the future!
P.S. Your next post better be about all the delicious ravioli you made!
So glad I could introduce you to Sugru Debra! You can use it for all sorts of things. I’m going to fix a cord I have and hopefully a casserole lid.
Ah man, no pressure eh?! I just got the thing fixed but you’re right, will have to make ravioli soon.
You are brilliant. Great that you found something to fix it. Love that. Way to go.
Thank you!!! Now I just have to make some ravioli, LOL.
