Product Review of Starbucks’ Frappula Frappuccino

Pumpkin Leaves in Vancouver

We had a grey day show up yesterday but it held back on the rain so I wanted to get outside for a walk.

The Inspiration

Starbucks' Frappula Frappuccino

My friend Michelle inspired me to go out to Starbucks to try their Frapulla Frappuccino which is available until November 1st.

The Incentive

A walk was not enough to get me to ingest 440 calories in one beverage so I also took myself to Shoppers Drug Mart for a flu shot. I am so glad that drug stores are doing this! Any way to skip a trip to my doctor’s office is absolutely appreciated.

The Drink

Starbucks' Frappula Frappuccino

I walked into my Starbucks and saw the sign on the wall. Literally! “White chocolate sauce, milk and ice are blended together then layered on top of mocha sauce and a dollop of whipped cream. Finished with a drizzle of strawberry purée and whipped cream for a drink so good, it’s scary.”

In other words, it is basically a strawberry mocha shake! Topped with whipped cream but mine did not have the bloody vampire bites on top, damn it!

I listened to music, finished off Mindy’s book, looked through Allrecipes.com’s magazine, listened to music and finished my shake.

Wow, so sweet! And I only said yes to whipped cream on top for the vampire bites so I did not ingest that part of the drink. It was an interesting beverage experience, something I would only indulge in once a year. Next time… I want the vampire bites! It is little things like that, that make all the difference.

The Walk Home

Autumn Leaves In Vancouver

I was on such a sugar high on the walk home I was shocked my hands were stable enough to take this photograph of a Japanese maple drenched bench in my hood in Vancouver.

I am glad I found inspiration to get out of the house and get my flu shot, not to mention the calories to inspire a jaunty walk home. Very cool idea Starbucks! It is usually me coming up with the spooky foodie ideas so I appreciate the inspiration.
