I was contacted by BAC Home with an extremely tempting and fascinating product review idea… Foodie Wax Melts Essential Oils! Talk about the coolest idea ever!
Over the last year aromatherapy’s helped me so much (more on that later) so the timing could have not been more perfect. I could take my scent therapy to a whole new level. I said yes in a heartbeat and have been testing them ever since.
BAC Home Coffee Shop Soy Blend Scented Wax Cube Melts
All BAC Home Soy Blend Scented Wax Cube Melts come in 6 x 2.5 oz cubes that have been hand poured in Vermont. Each cube lasts around 6 to 8 hours which is super impressive.
I wanted to start with their Coffee Shop blend. Is there anything more delicious than the smell of coffee? Not to me! Although I would love a bacon one…
Now I had no experience working with wax melts when everything arrived. I could not figure out how the diffuser would not get covered in wax and be removable so I could move onto my next product test so I lined a ramekin with foil and hoped that would work.
BAC Home Coffee Shop Wax Melts
So this is what the inside of the package looks like. Creamy coffee wax poured into 6 cube molds.
It was not hard at all to remove one of the cubes and it smelled heavenly already!
The wax was not melting in the ramekin so I moved the foil with the cube in it and put it on the top part of the diffuser dish. (Total newbie here!)
The entire cube melted in around half an hour. I had it going for at least 2 hours and the house filled with the scent of sweet creamy coffee! Not dark and bitter at all, definitely sweet and creamy, just the way I like it. If you got very close to the diffuser you do smell a bit of an edge due to the perfume but you really have to be close to notice it.
The wax got through the foil and all over the diffuser bowl so I just let it harden.
The next day I brought the diffuser downstairs into my room, heated it up to see how it did in a small space.
I was not clawing at my throat from it being too strong (I am actually quite sensitive to scent) at all and my sister could smell it all the way from upstairs!
I did not know what to do with the excess and then I realized, hey, I could just pour it back into the mold. Which I did! Check it out. That is at least 2 hours of melting time and there is so much left. Talk about economical!
BAC Home Frozen Cranberry Wax Melts
Next was the frozen cranberry scented wax melts on my kitchen agenda!
So at this point I knew what I was doing and just let it melt in the diffuser dish. It smelled beautiful. Definitely more perfume-y than the coffee shop one but very delicate and lovely. Again, not harsh at all unless you got really close to it.
This one made me feel like I was in a high quality potpourri store. A delicate but not overpowering scent that made the world prettier. Cranberries were there but there was also so much more going on too.
It quickly scented my room in the basement so I did not have to have it on for very long. This one was well liked by my sister too. But again, do not get too close, that perfume-edge will be there.
And I successfully poured it back into the mold to be reused for sure!
BAC Home Maple Pumpkin Muffin Soy Blend Scented Wax Cube Melts
The Maple Pumpkin Muffin Wax Melts truly smelled like maple pumpkin muffins!
There was something different about these ones though…
Check it out!!! Two-tier colour and probably scent!
This blend was lovely but of all the three scents this one was the most artificial of the bunch.
But! Was the most dramatic of the three to watch melt into orange fire.
It still made the house smell incredible but was way too strong and perfume-y for my little room.
We all agree that the Coffee Shop was by far the best (five out of five). The Frozen Cranberry was a nostalgic one for me that I liked more than others because it is so feminine (four out of five). Even though the Maple Pumpkin Muffin were not our particular favourite (three out of five), if you are a huge pumpkin spice fan you will LOVE these!
It is clear that the BAC Home wax melts are very high quality and I love that they bring me foodie comfort through scent without the use of candles and fire. I can safely fill my room in the basement with baking maple pumpkin muffins or sweet and creamy coffee without doing any work at all.
I can not wait to try more of them!

I’m quite sensitive to chemical scents so I’ve never used wax melts either. Every once in a blue moon, I’ll light a gently-scented candle but I can’t even hack that for more than 5-10 minutes.
