Chefs for Oceans: Ned Bell at East Coast Outfitters

July 14, 2014 by Suzie the Foodie 5 Comments

I had the privilege of representing Food Bloggers of Canada at East Coast Outfitters for the event Chefs for Oceans with Chef Ned Bell.

It was amazing to watch the kayaks come in across the water (which you can see in the video) and have such a great turnout for the event.

Vancouver Four Seasons Hotel‘s Chef Ned Bell has just started his cross-Canada bike tour.

He began in Newfoundland on Canada Day and has moved onto P.E.I. Check here for all the information about his tour across Canada.

We were treated to spiced popcorn.

Had a fresh halibut prepared right in front of us that was served for dinner.

A dinner complete with fresh peas, beets, seaweed salad, grilled zucchini and garnished with zucchini flowers.

Make sure to follow Chef Bell via Twitter and/or Facebook for updates as he travels across the country and support him in his goal:

“…to create a movement which, within in the next 10 years, allows every Canadian to easily and readily access sustainable seafood for themselves and their families.”
