Oh Cora’s! How we have missed you. It has been over a year since we had your 1990’s Harvest at your Bedford, Nova Scotia, location.
You see there are no Cora’s in Vancouver. Reg and I had to drive out to Coquitlam to go to a JYSK on a dark grey day and our tummies were rumbling by the time we got there. (We used to live on that mountain by the way!)
Finding this Cora’s was a little challenging. There are all these malls side-by-side in Coquitlam and they do not really connect with one another. Thankfully Reg spotted that warm sign down at the end of the mall.
In some ways this Cora’s is the same but woah, is it ever BIG! You have the same warm lighting, plaid bench seating but… the restaurant just goes on. Biggest one I have ever seen.
Another thing that was different was the price. The 1990’s Harvest out east was $9.99 but here it is $13.25. Considering how expensive real estate is here… I guess I should not have been surprised.
Still totally worth it though. Whoever made that crispy bacon was a genius too! I love having it super crispy but it also melted in my mouth. Oh the sweet taste of the familiar. So comforting.
Then we were back outside in the dark and the rain.
My brother and dad are coming for Christmas so we bought a cot for my brother!
The sun sets around 4 pm here at this time of year. We took the Barnet Highway home and the beauty of the misty mountains always makes my heart ache. Cora’s brought golden sunshine and foodie happiness on such a dark and dismal yet oddly beautiful day.

We finally got Cora’s here in Edmonton a few years ago. But none of their locations are as big as that one! Yowza!

Yay! So glad you got to one and I know, this one is HUGE!!!

There is a Cora’s in Richmond! So much closer to you than Coquitlam. Also, right off of the highway. I’ll be honest though, for the same price I prefer De Dutch…I personally think it out does Cora’s ten-fold

Reg will do everything to avoid going to Richmond. The good news is a Cora’s is opening up in Burnaby. I like DeDutch but can’t say no to all that fruit at Cora’s. Thanks for commenting!
