Reg and I have been hard at work this long weekend getting our house ready to sell. It is exciting to think that at this point in our lives, we could do anything and go anywhere. Which is why when I heard about Reg’s friend selling his property in Pandaria, Spain, my heart stopped. In the early to mid-19th century the house used to be the village bakery and closed just in 2002.
Living in the former village bakery, can you imagine? AND the home has four bedrooms, three stories PLUS three self contained rental apartments, all fully furnished. Reg and I could run a bed and breakfast and never be cold again!
The property is situated in the beautiful olive-speckled hills and vallies of rural Andalucia. At Christmas Reg and I took a tour of the area via Google maps and sure enough we saw the local guy who sells his own goat cheese!
I seriously thought about this opportunity. I could see myself living in this place that used to be a bakery blogging and doing videos from my new home in Spain. So clearly! But as big as this dream is, I just know there is a big foodie destiny for me in BC too. Reg and I are giving up the dream of home ownership to get back west.
I just had to share this opportunity with you in case you are in a time in your life where you can back up your belongings and start a new opportunity in a place you have dreamed of living.
Never be cold? No more living in a snowbelt? Hmmm … tempting.
Very tempting ……..
I know, how tempting is that? I found out the night of our last Christmas party at Reg’s work too and it was so cold and I was so sad and wanted to start a new life!
One of my friend is trying to move over to Europe. She would like to settle in Spain. Sure looks relaxing.
Coffee is on
Your lucky friend Dora, nice!!!
Do it if you can …. think of all your followers that would come and stay with you.
And no more canadian winters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s true, I think we would end up with a lot of visitors if we did this Janet! BTW, the link didn’t work, maybe it’s sold?

I loved fantasizing about this. A truly amazing place. I could so see you two there. And you could rent out those apartments…or have a B&B…(I reread your post and of course you said this…we are on the same page here). How you would appreciate it after so long being “exiled” in a cold climate! I think that everything would blossom! xoO
I can see us there too Olivia and I dreamed about it a lot. The perfect income property and oh to be warm! But the pull back to the west coast is too strong and now someone else can follow this dream.
