Before I left the East Coast I did go out and pick up some President’s Choice products to review.
Our fantastic friends threw us a Going Away Party which was the perfect opportunity to share some of the goodies.
Last summer I was introduced to their Passion Fruit Topped Greek Yogurt Cheesecake. I brought it over to my mom’s and we all loved it. It is a tiny cheesecake that has a great passion fruit wallop to it. I have not seen it since so when I saw it at the store I brought it to the party. We all LOVED it.
Oh my goodness, companies really want me to try their coconut water! This time it was PC Pineapple Coconut Water.
The ingredients listed were: water, concentrated pineapple juice, concentrated coconut water, natural flavours, ascorbic acid (vitamin c), concentrated lemon juice. This “blend” helped make the water less oily (oh the irony) than other coconut waters and the light pineapple flavour made it very pleasant to drink.
I still would not drink this just on its own but as a mix for another drink or addition to smoothies? No problem. It is still just too oily and thick for me to enjoy on its own. Love the attempt though and that there were only natural flavours in this product. I give it four out of five wooden spoons.
I also brought PC Blue Menu Pineapple Coconut Water Ice Pops to the party but we ran out of time and stomach space to enjoy them. That said, I have heard they are wonderfully refreshing and after having the product it is made from, I would not be surprised if that were the case at all.
PC Key Lime Greek Yogurt Cheesecake Lollipops is a very clever product. Who doesn’t want to indulge in a cheesecake on a stick?! One nugget of foodie goodness without indulging in a whole slice. I thought it was perfect for a party I was bringing several desserts to.
In one box you get 10 popsicles. I wish I could remember how much the box cost but it was over a month ago that I picked them up!
We all got to try them and how clever that the Graham cracker crumb coat ended up being the topping? I was convinced at first that these were dunked in white chocolate because of the crunch you experience when biting into them but it turns out to be “Greek yogurt coating“. Interesting!
I was hoping for more of a key lime punch but it was quite subtle. The nice thing about that was, it tasted REAL. Which it was! The pops contained “concentrated lime and key lime juices”. Impressive. I give this product four out of five wooden spoons. Everyone seemed to like it but we were not in love with it like the passion fruit cheesecake. Still, an excellent effort and perfect for dessert at a party.
I would not buy the flavored coconut water, too many ingredients in it.
I have seen the passion fruit cheesecake and wondered about it (quite pricey for the size if I remember well) but you tell me it is good, and I LOVE cheesecake… stupid question but do the cheesecake lollipop have to be eaten frozen or you thaw them first ?
It is a pricy cheesecake Nolwenn but I didn’t hesitate. Even though it’s just a couple of bites per slice, it is so delicious.
Actually you are supposed to defrost the lollipops in the fridge first which we did. That way you get the pop and crunch experience. We ate them frozen too and they are not as good that way.
I love coconut and pineapple. And coconut. And pineapple. And cheesecake. And, and, and, and …
