Food Network Article: Halifax Greek Fest

My Halifax Greek Fest article is up on Food Network Canada’s blog! As you can see, my husband and I had a fantastic afternoon there with our good friends. You have to check out the article just to see the baklava! If you love baklava and where you live isn’t sweltering like it is here and you feel like making it, check out my post on how to make individual baklavas! I have promised myself not to make them again unless I am going to a party, I ate way too many of these last time, they are so good.

It has gotten so hot here that I am living on smoothies and homemade iced tea and if I have energy, salad. I think it is time to go out somewhere and be treated to real food! And I am getting closer to figuring out how to make a proper waffle! Here is how not to make waffles. Once I figure it out, I will post about it, they continue to be a foodie challenge for me. Waffles are true vacation food, not something I normally make and want to have damn it!

Thanks goes to to Olivia for her post about how she won my contest! What a sweet post that was and what a funny story, how she and I were the only ones awake when I shared to the good news so she was the first to hear she won!

Summer is here in fine form! How have you been beating the heat and feeding your tummies during these sweltering times?

Loved the post on FN Suzie, awesome as always, just like the picture of you and Reg. So cute!! It’s been super hot here, we’ve been beating the heat by keeping things light and simple. I really have a craving to bake, but just can’t muster up the will to turn on the oven and heat up the kitchen. We ordered pizza tonight!
    Have a great weekend.

Hey Suzie, you know how I beat the heat staying up late šŸ™‚ and doing laundry et al after 10pm. My award came from CSNStores.com so now I just need to go shopping. Whoo hoo!

Thank you again, dear Suzie ♥
