I think I have CSN’s Soflex Leather Storage Ottoman!
CSN Stores has once again offered me the opportunity to do a product review, lucky me! For some shopping fun I browsed their site looking over their products and saw an ottoman coffee table I recognized. I discovered that they sell a secret weapon (or one that is very similar) in my food photography arsenal. Their ottoman here looks just like the storage ottoman I have in my living room!
Just about every single photo I take of the “final shot” of food is taken on that ottoman! Here you can see one of my setups for a Halloween foodie shot. I love this ottoman because it is so big, I can do this set up and still have tons of space. I get right up to my living room window to squeeze in as much light as I can into the photograph. I do not know where I would be without this piece of furniture.
Another super cool element is that after taking the photographs I take all the props and put them inside the ottoman, which makes for fast and easy cleanup when company is coming over. These days my living room looks more like a graveyard than a place for hosting because I am working on Halloween food, which is fine by me but maybe not for my guests. It is fantastic that I can just throw my Halloween props in there to quickly store everything away but also keep it all close for my next spooky foodie project.
TAKING YOUR REQUESTS!
Is there a kind of product you would like me to review for CSN Stores? I would love to hear what products you are curious about so I could run them through my test kitchen. I have a $65 budget, what do you like me to review? I am open to suggestions!

How about this yogurt maker? I’ve wondered about them as I remember my grandparents had one when I was a kid.

I love seeing a little corner of your world. Now I can imagine you working there. 🙂

I love that idea Kenora! That is right on budget too and something I totally would never have thought of but would probably love. Awesome!!! Thank you Paula, it’s nice to share my little world with you. Yup, that is where I spend most of my photo time. I seem to live there and the kitchen.
