There were so many foodie days during my visit to Toronto but there were also amazing art days with my sisters!
We made multimedia tree paintings together!
We created junk journals from books we bought at a Value Village sale!
No matter where you go or where you look in Toronto, there is art everywhere.
Local 1794
I was suppose to fly out on Saturday afternoon but a typhoon was coming towards BC so my visit got extended an extra day. To celebrate being together one last time, we went to Local 1794 for dinner.
The place has fantastic atmosphere, the service was great and my calamari was OK but still, not crispy. Guess I will just have to make it myself!
As the night wore on I got more and more tired and felt like the ketchup container on my plate of fries with my pulled pork sandwich. My batteries were almost empty of juice which was totally reflected in the crappy quality of my photographs.
I could not even do justice to the mac and cheese Jamie and Shannon had both ordered.
Justin came with us too and we had an amazing night out together. One last foodie hoorah before I came back home and collapsed.
Getting Ready
I was sick the entire time I was visiting so I knew my body was ready to come back west but it was very hard to leave.
The day I flew back the rain finally found me in Toronto.
FYI, not a good idea to read Mindy Kaling’s book Why Not Me? on a flight because she has a harrowing tale about a trip she took in a plane. Despite that, this book is seriously entertaining reading. It was awesome to have her keep me company on the flight home.
Reg picked me up and as soon as we left the airport the sun came out to say hello!
Since then, it has been all about rain and recovery. I do not know when I will get to go back home so I am so glad I did as much as I physically could while I was in Toronto. Now I need to heal from the journey and reboot my life. It is time for me to make more of a life for myself here on the west coast.

Great post, Suzie. Love your energy at the end there and then with the feeties and the leaves. Brilliant.
