These are vanilla cupcakes with mocha icing but have turned into mini Halloween gummy cakes with sprinkles last year. Just a quick and easy way for you to turn something traditional and make it a little spooky. A lot of Halloween treat recipes are quite elaborate and challenging even for the seasoned baker but it does not have to be. Buy some gummy worms and green, orange or black sugar sprinkles and you can add a creepy and cool factor very easily.
Are you going to make a Halloween treat this year? If so, make sure to come to my blog on November 1st and post a link to your treat so we can recover from our Halloween hangover together. If you do not have a blog and only a pic, that is totally OK. We would love to see what you have been brewing up in the kitchen. If you decide to just do a Halloween feast that is absolutely perfect, that is probably what I am going to be doing this year. I am inviting friends over for a hearty homemade dinner, eating and dashing to give out Halloween candy.

Mike and I have turned Halloween into a different celebration for ourselves by getting married on November 1. We are celebrating one year!! We have reservations at our favorite hotel on the coast for that night, and we’ll have dinner at the Drift Inn. They have live music, and my guess is, it will be a fun party! 🙂
