Reg and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary today. Apart. It is a sad one. Reg is in Nova Scotia because his Dad passed away.
On our wedding night I remember having rosemary chicken for dinner with an edible flower salad on the side. They sent us the wrong cake. It was supposed to be a three tiered heart-shape cake and I just laughed when I saw that it was three circles. The frosting matched my bouquet so they got that right.
Reg’s dad taught me a lot about the power of being someone who makes something yourself. He was a master cabinetmaker and could literally make anything. When his daughter was giving birth he had to stay home and babysit her first born and he made a canoe while he waited. Seriously. He made a canoe! When I get out my tools for making food or jewelry, I will think of him
But I am taking today off. Going to treat myself a bit like royalty and look forward to Reg’s return in a few days.

Happy Anniversary Suzie! I know that it is somber because of Reg’s dad’s passing, but it is still a special day. I hope that when he returns you have a chance to celebrate. xoO

Thank you so much Olivia and yes, there is sombreness but also happy reflecting going on too. We will definitely celebrate when he gets home. He keeps joking he is going to take me on a cruise!
