K&K Bargain Store… My New Favourite Place!

Update: I am shocked and disappointed to report that K&K Bargain Store is already out of business. That’s the name of the game in my hood. So sad!

One of my favourite things to do in the foodie world is to go treasure hunting for pretty dishes and utensils at flea markets, garage sales and thrift stores. I really love unique items and sometimes I can get amazing deals.

For the last couple of months I have just been waiting for K&K Bargarin Store to open in Lower Sackville. It is right across from the library and when I saw that “Open” sign last week I ran across the always-busy Sackville Drive to check it out.

No, it is not huge but is it not adorable? Believe it or not, it seems to always be full of furniture too. I love those floors!

And the merchandise is stunning! It is all high quality for amazing prices. I actually bought two things in this photograph.

I came home and unwrapped all my “treats” on video to share them with you. Amazing I spent only $21 on two bags of super cool stuff!

I found this guy the first time at the back of the store and across from him I picked up a zombie shirt (see video). The next time I went back he greeted people at the front door. This is my kind of place!

Believe it or not, I got this stunning set of 4 Asian dishes for $3!!! These are going to be so amazing in my foodie photos.

This store is run by super nice people and I really hope they get a ton of business. On Saturdays the owner says he even brings in his famous seafood chowder that is $5 a bowl. I have seen a young hip couple come in and leave with tons of furniture (how do they fit it in that store?) and seniors come by that were super impressed with the shop.
