Mary’s Brigadeiro opened just a few months ago and has already become a foodie hotspot at 1912 Danforth Avenue.
I went back after my first visit quite a few times with friends and family to have treats.
Honestly, it is truly such a happy place, no wonder there are people going in and out of there all the time.
The Food
Their chocolate tart was on my bucket list and check it out! The day I went I got an additional THREE Brigadeiros on top!
New Look
This stunning design was up on the wall warming up the spot even more.
And did I mention the tart made with Mary’s own homemade chocolate sauce? And look, gold leaf on the Brigadeiros!
You could really feel the space warming up and coming together even though winter’s approach had begun.
Yes, all of this was eyeball-roll worthy. OMG! This was decadent even for me!
New Products
It was significantly cooler the next time I came for a visit and sat down in front of this HUGE chocolate panettone! Not only was Mary’s chocolate inside the panettone, the cake was slathered with it too.
This is the perfect holiday season Christmas gift for that food enthusiast out there. It is already a huge hit with orders flying in so call ASAP if you want one.
I was actually there for their hot chocolate. I had an exhausting weekend and just wanted a special treat before I made my way home and look! You can get a wee shot of hot chocolate! I had no idea how mini their small was and it was adorable. I even said yes to the whipped cream. Delicious and perfect.
BTW if the idea of ordering a whole holiday chocolate panettone is too overwhelming, see what looks like a muffin the customer in the above photo is pointing at? That is a mini version so you can try it and maybe share with a friend. Maybe, if you are feeling generous.
Mary’s chocolate is so smooth and delicious, I would also recommend picking up some of her handcrafted chocolate spread/sauce. So delicious! Great stocking stuffer!
My little hot chocolate totally brightened my day. Now I understand why people go to bars for a shot of something to drink! This is my version of that kind of treat and ritual. I am sure this was much more delicious than anything a bar has to offer too.
Everyone at Mary’s Brigadeiro is always happy to see you whether you have been there several times or are new to the whole experience.
Top Secret
I got to taste test a potential new product coming up on the menu and it is unbelievably delicious! I wish I could say more but it is still in the foodie testing phase and wow… Mary is a genius!
I came home with some of the spicy Mexican chocolates for my sister and brother-in-law so they could have a treat too.
Mary’s Brigadeiro is my top pick of where to go for holiday treats in Toronto this holiday season. Stop in for a hot chocolate while you are shopping or buy something special that will impress foodie friends and family.
I can not wait to see what she comes up with next!

Oooooooo, my mouth is watering!
And hey, did you know that ANNA OLSON is going to be on Iron Chef Canada tomorrow night (Wed Dec 13) on the Food Channel? I pity the poor chef who will try to take her down!
Suzie the Foodie says
Oh I am so behind, no!!! Darn it! It’s true. Hey, did she win Debra? I hope she won! Can’t imagine anyone beating her.

When I first read 1912 I was thinking of year. But like Debra said Mouth Watering…yes indeed.
