I got as many reviews done as possible before Christmas so it was time for some fun! Last night Reg and I took the long bus ride down to Stanley Park. We really wanted to go on the Christmas train but it looked like everyone else had the same idea.
Yup! All the train rides were sold out. I think we were a little naive to think we could have gone on but unlike all the people in the crazy-long lines to get on the train, we spent the evening walking around enjoying the beautiful night for free.
It was such a gorgeous venue and I love that they had a gingerbread house! That deer behind it was so beautiful, it had sparkly twinkly lights on it and was breathtaking.
We did check out the train and I love that along the spokes of the fence were all the hats and mitts lost by the passengers.
The air was filled with the scent of roasting chestnuts and pistachios, I was so tempted!
But there was a ton of visual candy all around.
I even got to meet this Winter Wizard who totally rocked the part and would not break character. He was amazing.
There were so many fun Christmas special reference, from the Heat Miser to The Grinch to the Peanuts gang.
I got hot chocolate and Reg got hot cider which we enjoyed as we wound around the display of lights.
It is so Vancouver that they had organic popcorn for sale, LOL. I love it!
No ride on Santa’s train but the Christmas spirit was everywhere.
I have so much to do today and so I must go but I hope you enjoyed this Christmas postcard post! I am off to pick up some sour cream and sweet potatoes and hope I can figure out how to make a roast in my Instant Pot for Christmas Eve!

I loved this Christmas Postcard Post. So fun.
Much luck and fun to you with your roast. And potatoes … oh my good gosh, that’s my favorite food. And tomatoes. And coconut, and, and, and …
Happy Christmas.

The Winter Wizard did a good job of turning Stanley Park into a magical winter wonderland! Sounds like the perfect way to get in the seasonal spirit.
Have a wonderful first Christmas in your new Vancouver home and best wishes to you both for 2015!

I agree, the spread was amazing! Sadly I think lead to my health demise but it was wonderful. And thank you Debra! May you be happy in your new apartment and have the best year in 2015 ever!
