President’s Choice Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake Truffles

What a treat! Getting to taste test PC Lemon Raspberry Naturally Flavoured Cheesecake Truffles? Yes please!

The Package

This frozen box of goodies was included in my Canada-themed PC products to review. I let them thaw in my fridge and then we attacked.

Inside the box you will find 15 of these light pink spheres topped with cookie crumbs.

The Product

“If it’s just one luxurious bite of dessert you’re after, reach for these indulgent truffles of lemon raspberry flavoured cheesecake topped with white chocolatey crackle coating and sprinkled with cookie crumbs. A miniature dessert, it delivers all the indulgence of creamy cheesecake anytime you need a sweet little something.”

If there is one flavour combination that Reg is going to pick over chocolate, it is lemon raspberry. He is a huge cheesecake fan too so this was right up his foodie alley.

The Tasting

The first thing I noticed was how incredibly creamy the truffle was. Then? The lemon. Beautiful. But where was the raspberry? It was overwhelmed by the strength of the lemon. Delicious though.

Foodie Conclusion

I personally was not a fan of the graham cracker crumbs on top (I never am, just do not like graham crackers) but it was a cute homage to the cheesecake crust.

These really are perfect for entertaining which is what they are intended for. I personally could only eat one after dinner whereas Reg would partake in a few. I did not realize that you should eat them within 48 hours. Make sure you do that, the texture really does not hold up after a couple of days.

Overall, these are quite delicious but if you are more of a fan of raspberry than lemon, you will be disappointed. I give these four out of five wooden spoons but Reg gives them four and a half out of five.
