President’s Choice sent me two very different summer salsas to review: their Medium Fresh Salsa & Texas Caviar Mild Bean Salsa.
Their Medium Fresh Salsa is extremely fresh. Make sure to use it quickly because the expiry date will sneak up on you a lot faster than their jarred salsas.
It is very liquidy and spicy and yes, super fresh!
It works great for tortillas chips dip but I tried it in my beef burrito.
Disastrous! Totally leaked all over the place even though it was super tasty and hot!
The PC Texas Caviar Mild Bean Salsa is a completely different foodie animal.
Creamy, tangy and full-bodied, this salsa is almost more of a bean dip.
I actually really do not like legumes very much but these are perfectly cooked and I can see why this dip was given the title of caviar. It is delicious, filling and has great robustness.
If you like your salsas thinner and spicier, the PC Medium Fresh Salsa is the salsa for you. For you I give the product four out of five wooden spoons. Just make sure to use it ASAP.
If you want a salsa with more substance, I recommend the PC Texas Caviar Mild Bean Salsa. Even a non-bean-lover like me loved it but please note it is mild—if you like heat, you might be disappointed. Personally? I thought it was fantastic and give it five out of five wooden spoons.
Love me some salsa.
