I picked up the PC Passion Fruit Topped Greek Yogurt Cheesecake on a whim. I am so glad I did! I wanted a treat that (as the Insider’s Report claims) “just screams summertime.”
The Price
Right now this little cheesecake is on sale for $7.99, reduced from $8.99. In some ways, that seemed like a lot to me when I picked it up.
The Taste Testing
I brought it to my Mom’s and let it come to room temperature in all the packaging for an hour or so. You were supposed to remove all the packaging but hey, I rarely do what I am told.
We each had a little slice and loved it! The crust did not taste like graham crackers (thank goodness, I loathe them). It was made with whole wheat and natural lime flavour which I wish I could say I noticed at the time but I didn’t. What I noticed was the rich filling and that fabulous tang from the passion fruit.
Now it would not be a real cheesecake taste test without also sharing with my sisters and getting their perspective. They also loved it! In fact, Jamie (who is a cheesecake fiend in the best of ways) was particularly in love with it which confirmed to me that this is one of the best store-bought cheesecakes I have personally had.
Foodie Conclusion
According to the Insider’s Report they used the Greek yogurt as a means of making the cake fluffier and tangier and I think they accomplished that. Of course, I was so curious, I had to see if it made a difference nutrition-wise.
I compared it to their New York-Style Cheesecake – Original. In 100 grams it contains 350 calories, 22 grams of fat, 12 grams saturated fat, 180 mg sodium and 6 grams protein.
The Passion Fruit Topped Greek Yogurt Cheesecake in 100 grams contains 290 calories, 12 grams of fat, 6 grams saturated fat, 250 mg sodium and 5 grams protein.
So the passion fruit cake is quite a bit healthier for you if you are not too concerned with salt! That impresses the hell out of me. Despite the cost, I wholeheartedly adore this products and recommend it for a summertime treat. I give this product five out of five wooden spoons.
S’Mores Kit
I first reviewed the PC S’Mores Kit two years ago. They have changed the look of the box and now you get a 480 gram box instead of a 875 gram box.
As a result, the price has gone down from $8.99 to $6.99.
It is clear you are definitely getting less marshmallows but still lots of graham crackers and chocolate. Serving size went down from 24 to 16 which is still a ton of s’mores.
These are so much fun to make and easy, we have been having one s’more after dinner as a treat these days.
Broiling them in the oven for between 20-40 seconds works like a charm.
Just make sure that the marshmallow and chocolate are hot enough to melt together and you will not be disappointed.
My sister Jamie loves graham crackers but she founds these a tad extra dry. I personally am not a fan of those crackers either but eating these is always fun. I stand by my original rating of four out of five wooden spoons but if you love s’mores and want them right now! This is probably the right product for you.

I seriously couldn’t have loved that passion fruit cheesecake more. In fact, looking at it now I feel like we need (NEED) to buy another one. Like. Right. Now.
The s’mores were super fun. I love anything that turns a treat into an event!
