PC The Reverse Decadent White Chocolate Chips was one of the many holiday items that President’s Choice sent me!
They also sent me these fantastic measuring cups that I am just loving! Heavy duty and not flimsy at all.
But back to the The Reverse Decadent White Chocolate Chips. These are the chips you find in their popular Reverse Decadent White Chocolate Chip Cookie (which I have never had, shh!).
When I saw these I immediately wondered how they would taste in our favourite Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies. It would be the perfect test, I have made these cookies for almost a decade.
The Testing & The Recipe
Now I did also put their Decadent Chocolate Chips in there as well but it was mostly the white chocolate. These are our favourite cookies and Reg hates it when I mess with a classic.
Cream 3/4 cup of unsalted butter. Gradually add 1 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Add 1 egg, 1/4 cup of orange juice and 1 tsp of vanilla.
Sift together 1 cup of flour, 1/4 tsp of baking soda and a pinch of salt. Stir dry ingredients into the batter until just combined. Add three cups of oats. Add 1 cup of chips.
I do a quick blitz with the mixer to combine the chips without breaking them.
I would say I used 3/4 cup of the white chocolate chips.
Use 1 tbsp of batter for each cookie and flatten. Put on a parchment or silpat-lined baking sheet. I like to use an ice cream scoop and they are usually bigger than 1 tbsp.
Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 10-12 minutes.
Foodie Conclusion
Perfection! We loved these just as much, if not more. These are a lovely high quality white chocolate chips that I am happy to use again. The only problem? One package has probably just over 1 cup of chocolate chips in it which is not a lot. I also do not have a price point for the product so it makes reviewing a little challenging.
As a result, I give these (on flavour alone) four and a half out of five wooden spoons.

I like using those individual partial-cup measuring spoons too. Of course, an old-fashioned measuring cup still works as well!

Aren’t they awesome Debra?!

I use a little scooper like that when baking. So fun. Then I got the bigger one for other bakes.
Kitchen toys are SO FUN!

PS: And your cookies look YUMMMMMMY!

I don’t think I have a bigger scoop than a 1 cup, at least not for dry ingredients. Oh yes, kitchen toys are the best. Thank you! They were fabulous and Reg was very happy. 🙂
