My life is brutal and heartbreaking right now so for those thinking OMG, McDonald’s? What kind of “foodie” goes to McDonald’s? Yeah, you can bite me.
I promised I would go for the Fiesta McWrap next and I did not let you down. I also ordered their new Coffee Iced Frappé. It was a gorgeous day and I hate pop so why not?
Unfortunately I did not read the fine print. The $1 snack size deal starts today, June 5, and I was there on the third. Doh! Yes, you can also get a Vanilla Chai Tea one too! Deal lasts until June 12th.
Fiesta McWrap
The wrap was intriguing. I absolutely love those whole wheat tortillas and the crunchy red fried tortillas did add crunch which was excellent. That grilled chicken tasted just like regular grilled chicken to me. What I was not expecting was the heat and the taco-like seasoning. Very surprising, in a good way.
I personally found the mayonnaise that was the dressing too sweet and would have much preferred sour cream to enhance the soft-taco-like experience because I am not a fan of sweet but the heat helped cut it down. Again, definitely a meal for $5. At least for me.
I enjoyed this one much more than the chicken and bacon wrap which was just too simple for me so for those looking for something different, I personally give this wrap four out of five wooden spoons.
Yes, this does not look like a “snack size” beverage and it isn’t. They almost gave me a different product than I asked for so they upsized my drink to a regular as an apology. Have I mentioned I am extremely sensitive to caffeine?!
Thankfully I discovered that the base of this drink has coffee extract in it. Phew!
Did I like it?! Oh yeah! I actually LOVED it! A coffee drink without the kick in the head from caffeine? Bring it! And only for $1 until June 12th? I say, go for it.
Notice how the drink is still together and not separated like Iced Capps? So much better!
It tastes like a creamy and icy coffee milkshake without the heaviness of cream since it is made with milk and ice. A medium has 370 calories which is a lot when it comes to sweetening but only 5 grams of fat. I was having this as a dessert on the walk home on a stunning but tough day, it was just what I needed.
That said, when I got home and spoke with Reg I was talking a million words a second and could barely sit still. He said it was very entertaining and he should jack my diet up with tons of sugar more often. By the end of our talk my head was on the desk and I was in a bit of a sugar coma. I was also exhausted beyond belief so I am grateful the drink got me home.
I love their Coffee Iced Frappé. Better than most iced coffee drinks I have had, I will go back to McD’s just to have another one. Oh but, did not go super great with the Fiesta McWrap, flavours conflicted a lot but as a dessert? I want more!
I give this product five out of five wooden spoons. Yes, I said it. Five out of five!
