When I was in Toronto, I tried many different random drinks. One of the best coffee days I had was going to this Starbucks with my sister Shannon.
It used to be a bank but they blinged it up with chandeliers under the vaulted ceilings. Nice!
It is a super busy location with lots of people hanging out or working on their laptops.
During this coffee visit I got a decaf caramel macchiato: “Freshly steamed milk with vanilla-flavored syrup, marked with espresso and finished with caramel sauce.”
It was beautifully symmetrical but the weight of the caramel sauce quickly squashed the foam into a sweet descending caramel lava.
I ended up with a lot less beverage as a result. Shannon and I really did not need to split that piece of coffee cake because this drink is crazy sweet! No extra sugar necessary. Yowza, the sweetness was unbelievable.
Still, that is what I wanted on that particular day. Something sweet and new that would keep this foodie brain pre-occupied and entertained. In that way it did but I probably would not get it again, unless I am looking for a dessert in a 3/4 filled paper cup.

Yowza, what a sugar rush high that must have given you!
