Reg’s Bday Dinner at The Storm Crow

Yesterday was Reg’s birthday and I did my best to spoil him rotten!

First we went to see a matinee of The Martian with Matt Damon. Reg loves all things survival and sci-fi-oriented. Me? I had a huge headache and needed therapy after the movie, LOL. It was a great movie though, perfect choice.

We took the bus down to Storm Crow Tavern, our most favourite pub ever. You can read my original review of it here.

Not only is their menu a D&D module, you can pick up just about any game you want to play at your table.

I let it slip to our server that it was Reg’s birthday and he got to roll a D20 for a complimentary shot. It was called The King in Yellow and had banana liqueur in it.

Everywhere you look there are so many fun geeky details at the pub, it is so much fun.

Reg ordered the Conan-sized Beefbarbarian stew and was in foodie heaven!

IMG_2571

I got the house burger with fries. OMG, that burger was messy!!!

IMG_2576

Reg ordered the Demonic Dark Chocolate Raspberry Crumble which also contained rhubarb and could not have been a more perfect dessert for my birthday Barbarian.

IMG_2577

He even got to order ice cream with it and it was made with REAL vanilla beans.

When you want something fun and different on your birthday,  Storm Crow Tavern is it.

Thankfully they are opening up another location which will hopefully help with the crushing crowds of other fans of the pub.

Reg and I are definitely going to try and make it to the pub more often. Seriously one of the coolest places on the planet we have ever been.

We’re also going to see Iron Maiden in 2016 so I think my work here spoiling Reg is done!
