I know, another weekend post?! What is up with that?! Well I have most of the week’s worth of posts pre-scheduled and I took another spontaneous trip this weekend to the local flea market. Not a lot to do around my neighbourhood, I was up super early (oh the curse of fibromyalgia) and the weather this weekend has been stunning so I decided to go again and check it out.
The farmers were there with their produce and even some local-made preserves! I thought since I had been to the market the week before I would not come home with any more treasures. I am really not wanting any more “stuff” but the treasures I got last week were so great and this week…
I spent less than $10 and got some cool glasses, two small handmade ceramic dishes and steak knives from England. I love serving desserts in unusual glasses and thought this would be fun. The more rectangle glasses are perfect for layered desserts. I have found a fabulous recipe for Halloween Hot Chocolate that would look great in them too.
Yes, I said HALLOWEEN!!! That is my favourite time of year and I have the most fun in the kitchen coming up with ghoulish treats. If you are new to my blog, check out everything I made for Halloween last year. I have already ordered some pretty amazing Halloween molds and I am getting fantastic books of the library to help with inspiring ideas.
Still, I am enjoying the fruits of summer, quite literally. This is the most delicious time of year.
Hope you are having a fantastic weekend! Would love to hear what you have been up to!

Looks like you found some more cool items at the flea market. I know it’s crazy, but we’re also getting very excited about Halloween as well, the kids are already planning their costumes, and I think I’m going to have to hit the library as well, and get some fun and ghoulish foodie ideas.
