Wendell Estate Honey Product Review

Dragons' Den Wendell Estate Honey Product Review

When I saw Wendell Estate Honey on the Dragons’ Den, I had to try it! First, I am a huge fan of the show. Second, this product looked so high quality and so different than traditional honey, I wanted to see how it compared. Lucky me, they said yes and shipped me this stunning bottle of creamed raw Prairie honey.

The Product

I made homemade English muffins in honour of this product. I wanted the best foodie experience possible. This honey did not disappoint. It is so smooth, creamy and subtle… having this for breakfast was a beautiful experience.

It starts off to be quite solid, thick and dare I say sumptuous but with a little warmth…

It quickly melted into each little crevice of the English muffin. Divine. Absolutely divine. I like regular honey but this? This is in a league all on its own.

Foodie Conclusion

Dragons' Den Wendell Estate Honey Product Review

Reg HATES honey and when I asked him what he thought he said, “It didn’t bother me. For me, that is saying a lot.” Which is so true. He had it a few times without complaint so I was blown away, again.

As promised, this really is a top notch product. I am so glad I wrote them and requested to do a product review for Wendell Estate Honey. Normally I would do all sorts of product testing like using it in smoothies, dressings… but no way. Not with this honey. It was meant to be smeared on your favourite baked good and enjoyed just on its own. I give this product five out of five wooden spoons. I doubt there is a better honey anywhere in the world. Well done!

Personal Note

I would like to thank the company for their patience waiting for my review. I receive the honey when I was in Toronto when my mom’s health took a turn for the worst. So I brought it home and waited until I could do the product justice. I am glad I waited. What a beautiful surprise.

I must have missed that episode of Dragons Den because this is the first I’ve heard of this honey! Does “raw” mean that it is unpasteurized? I know that’s the latest rage in honey.

Hi Sherry! I just heard back from the company. The honey comes from canola, clover and alfalfa. 🙂 I hope that helps!
