Technically I am still supposed to be on blogging holiday but I thought I would mention Reg and I did indeed survive the first snowpocalypse of the year. This was our back deck before the snowstorm ended. I bubble wrapped the back door and taped around all the edges to prevent any drafts from getting inside after I took this photograph.
Why is that relevant? When you watch this video of what is out our front door you will understand that for us? There is now no way out!
We are alive and warm and the electricity is on. We have lots of food and I am so looking forward to returning to food blogging on Monday!

Yes, knowing how much you LOVE snow and cold, I’ve been wondering how you’ve been getting along in the blizzard! Glad all is well. Stay warm!

Well, nice that you both have a good humor about it and can laugh! I personally think it is just lovely, I LOVE snow, but that easy for me to say living in SoCal and only having to deal with it when I go looking for it! Take care : )

Hey, your house looks like our place. Love this winter but burrrrr.
We did get out today and that was nice. Now I’m letting my dough rest and then onto stromboli.

Holy crap that’s alot of snow!!!
Glad that you guys are safe and warm!!

Yes, I just LOVE blizzards, it’s true! (NOT!) But we have been managing. As long as we have heat, we’re OK. Lost internet for a while but it’s back.
We are trying to make the most of it (the situation, not the snow). THW, it makes such a difference when you can get out. Cabin fever makes baking a downer but strombolis are a an excellent pick-me-upper.
Thanks Ellie! We’re doing OK. So glad we have food and that I can stay in.

We had a nice time at the Barnes, they have a comfortable cafe where Hubby writes and I read cookery and bake books. BUT, this past Saturday I had to finish up all my coupons so I worked on that. But next time, back to the bake shelf.
Hope you are staying warm today.

Oh that sounds so comfy! Yes, coupon work is important though. Hope you enjoyed baking!
