You know it is warming up when all I can think about are cold specialty coffee drinks! They are my absolute favourite and while on a pandemic walking odyssey yesterday I noticed even the local Starbucks in my new hood was closed. No takeout even. Doors locked, lights off.
Blender Boyz to the rescue!!! Our paths crossed back in early 2017 when I saw them on Dragons’ Den and I knew I had to contact them and try their products for myself. Since moving back to Ontario we actually got to meet in person at the 2020 RC Show! This was right as the world was changing and may have been one of the last normal things I did before everything transitioned, as well me moving in the middle of all hell breaking loose.
Whipped Caramel Latte
I love the Blender Boyz’s Caramel Iced Cappuccino Mix. You can read my original review here. It has that fancy artisan cafe caramel flavour. If you have their products you do not have to go to a cafe or make them in your kitchen from scratch to enjoy.
I was going for a Dalgona coffee idea (which I still have yet to make) and realized this actually would work even better as a latte. My first at home latte was so easy to make!
The Ingredients (Serves 2)
You will need: 2/3 cup heavy cream, 2 packages Blender Boyz’s Caramel Iced Cappuccino Mix and cold milk over glass of ice. That will make enough for two drinks or you can enjoy one and save the other half for my Frappuccino recipe (farther down).
Whisk together the heavy cream and packages of cappuccino mix until it thickens.
Top iced cold milk with coffee mixture.
Absolutely delicious. Frothy, sweet but not too sweet with that caramel flavour… OMG!
Caramel Banana Frappuccino (Serves 1)
I had half the mixture leftover and decided to blend it up and make a Frappuccino at home. What a treat! I decided to thicken it up with a little bit of frozen banana too. Caramel banana is a wonderful combination!
The Ingredients
You will need: 1/3 cup heavy cream, 1 pkg Blender Boyz’s Caramel Iced Cappuccino Mix, 2 ice cubes and 1/2 banana (preferably frozen to keep drink cold.)
Put everything into a blender and blend until mixed and frothy.
Foodie Results
Serve in a beautiful glass! Now that is even fancier looking than what you get at a cafe. The coffee with caramel and a banana… It is like a fancy but kind of healthy frappuccino. Kind of, LOL.
Oh how I miss cafes! Blender Boyz are helping me get through this crisis one delicious glass of coffee mix goodness at a time.
Artisanal rich frozen coffee indulgences made in my own kitchen, enjoyed in my own home. This is what I call Suzie The Foodie therapy.
BTW you can buy their Caramel Iced Cappuccino Mix by the case here or amazon here.
YUM! You’re all ready for summer now!
