KitchenAid sent me their Diamond Blender to product test, do a giveaway for and create some smoothie recipes using their product. No problem! I LOVE making smoothies and any excuse to try something new? I am all over it!
Cantaloupe Mango Smoothie
The video shows just how super thick this smoothie is. The recipe serves two smallish glasses or one mega-size smoothie.
See how quickly and easily the KitchenAid Diamond Blender brings everything together, even when I forget to add the ice cubes until the end.
The Recipe
The off-the-cuff recipe I made in the video was a four out of five wooden spoons recipe, so I decided to write up the finished recipe here which I think will be much better:
2 ice cubes (crush in blender first)
1 cup of peeled and chopped cantaloupe
1 cup of peeled and chopped frozen mango
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup mango nectar (or juice)
1 to 2 tsp honey
1/2 cup Amoré Almonds + Dairy Vanilla (or just almond milk, juice milk, rice milk… whatever you prefer)
Additional ingredients: I would add a little vanilla extract and 1 tsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice
Foodie Results
Super thick, packed with flavour and I had no idea cantaloupe would work so perfectly in a smoothie! I am continually impressed with KitchenAid Diamond Blender, which did not seem to care that I forgot to put the ice cubes until the very end. I am also really enjoying Amoré Almonds + Dairy Vanilla drink. More to come on that product!
There is no question that this appears to be the fastest blender for making smoothies I have come across so far. Coming up I will share a couple more smoothie recipes with you and do a product review on the blender. Of course there will also be a giveaway very soon which my newsletter readers will hear all about this weekend.
This blender not only adds a cute and fun dash of colour to my kitchen, it is really helping me with making my smoothies at night. Love it so far!
