Christmas Eve Kitchen Disaster

December 24, 2010 by Suzie the Foodie 3 Comments

Kitchen Disaster

I made the dough for my cinnamon buns last night and woke up to find it oozing out of its bowl and beyond the plastic wrap that I tried to secure it with the night before. Oh well! You can tell the kitchen anarchy of Christmas is upon us. I have many other foodie memories to share for treats but have run out of time to do so. I will keep posting them beyond Christmas because every day is a great day to make a treat.

Physically, I am kind of done. I have pushed myself way too far this year, as usual. Living with fibromyalgia is so very tough. Now it is time for me to rest but not to worry, I have not forgotten about the giveaway! I will be using random.org to pick a winner this time. I wanted to print out all the comments and pull the name from a stocking but there is no way, I do not have time or energy.

My Husband the Christmas Elf

My husband was away for most of the latter part of this year and we have been playing catchup ever since. Christmas shopping yesterday (ugh!) and right now he is decorating our deck on Christmas Eve. We would have done it earlier but we have been getting battered with a storm since Monday!

I hope that we all make it through the next 48 foodie hours with no more kitchen disasters! I will be picking the winner of the contest very soon. Promise. Until then, good luck and happy foodie adventures!

That’s too funny of a picture. It reminds me of a story from one of my cooking students. He told me a story of buying gluten flour. Instead of the gluten flour, he bought pure gluten and put dough into the warm oven to rise. The next morning, the dough had completely filled the oven. When he looked through the glass, it looked like butt cheeks peaking through. Anyway, I had a good laugh over the story. Happy holidays and have great rest. -Tien
