Easiest Poached Eggs As Seen On America’s Test Kitchen

Easiest Poached Eggs As Seen On America's Test Kitchen

My friend Miranda told me about this video that America’s Test Kitchen did on how to make the easiest poached eggs and I just had to try it out for myself:

I made my own video of the process and sure enough, it worked!

I brought the water up to a boil and turned off the heat. I put two eggs per ramekin and submerged them into the water. Put the lid on top of the pan. A few minutes later… Voila!

Now they did stick to the bottom of the pan a little, hence why the swirling is a little necessary but still. Super easy!

They used the same technique for cooking a lot of eggs at the exact same time so if you are cooking brunch for a lot of people this holiday, this may be the easiest way to make a ton of poached eggs at once.

It’s the best, isn’t it? Healthy and now, super easy! No more swirling or worried that the water will boil up and break the egg.

Yes! Actually, if I had the dexterity I could have done four at a time. Their original video did eight at a time!
