Foodie Gratitude: StickersByDesign on Etsy

When I saw these skull decals on Etsy by StickersbyDesign they literally haunted me, I kid you not, for months.

I could totally see them on my black mixer nicknamed Rebel. And you could add text all for just $6.50 which would totally make my mixer unique and appear custom made for me and my kitchen. I had to have them!

StickersbyDesign graciously agreed to send me a sample pack and I was like a kid waiting for them to show up. Anxiously checking the mailbox every day. Then they arrived…

They were perfect! Exactly what I wanted.

Of course I had no idea what I was doing or what I wanted exactly when I first started adding the stickers. I cut them up individually and pressed them on. I thought, OK, there must be more to it than that. I pressed the white outline onto the mixer and slowly pulled off the paper.

The white decal stuck but I had to move slowly. The hard part was the eyes and nose but they eventually came off. Phew! I did it!

I put a few on and put Rebel away and let it sit for a couple of days. Yes, I am not exactly spontaneous when it comes to this kind of thing. I really did not want to screw it up.

Then I look a photo and I thought, yes, looks super cool but it needs more. Time to stop being so stingy with the stickers.

I kind of grew up being taught to be modest and I have been fighting that instinct ever since. To put my name on my mixer felt absurdly wrong. So of course I HAD to do it!

And it was delicious! Perfectly self-centred and wonderful. I could not help but cackle at the results!

So of course I had to do it to the other side as well! LOL. I was drunk with sticker power!

And to be perfectly honest, could not have been happier. I smile every time I look at Rebel now. She is no longer just a dark horse in the corner of my white kitchen. She is all decked out and ready to make some kitchen anarchy!

Thank you so much StickersbyDesign for making this happen. You really made my foodie day and I am sure my readers are now wondering what fabulous stickers of yours they can use to decorate their mixers at home. I give this product five out of five wooden spoons.

For those of you who are not subscribers to my newsletter, you will not have seen this video I made giving you a tour of my kitchen yet. It in you will see Rebel’s completed makeover, she looks so awesome!

I LOVE Rebel’s new look! My Sally is also black and shiny, and now you got me thinking what I can do to make her more custom (mmm Zebra stripes??). Just checked out StickersbyDesign and I’m super impressed.

Thanks for the lovely kitchen tour, it was a lot of fun hanging out there, next time I think I’ll grab a cookie from the jar lol…
