Foodie Toronto Trip: Red Lobster

Foodie Toronto Trip: Red Lobster

My mom had a gift certificate for Red Lobster that she wanted to use to treat us to lunch. Jamie has always loathed seafood so it was me, Mom and Shannon going out together.

I do not think I have lived in a place with a Red Lobster since I left Ontario all those years ago. It was fun to go out for a decadent lunch at such a well-known seafood establishment, especially since no one I know on the east coast likes seafood the way most of our family does.

I ordered the Seaport Lobster and Shrimp for lunch and seriously, Greg our server was just the best.

He kept those famous cheesy buns coming!

My only disappointment is they were out of the lobster bisque so I got the clam chowder instead.

One of the foodie treats I had to work into my trip was a Caesar salad since Reg hates it as well as seafood. So good, I love Caesar salad!

The stuffed mushrooms were OK but we agreed we probably would not get them again. They were not super flavourful despite all that cheese!

Mom was smart and got the baked potato which was made just how I like it, nicely oiled and seasoned on the outside to ensure crispiness.

Shannon got a mixture of seafood and chicken and said it was super flavourful. Mom also generously shared some of her lobster with Shannon.

My lunch was very tasty and so filling. I can not remember the last time I had so much butter!

Oh to hide from the brewing Ontario heat wave in the air conditioned sanctuary of a Red Lobster in downtown Toronto.

Mom totally spoiled us that day! What a treat for us and a fantastic afternoon out. Love you Mom!

I’m still amazing at how much we ate while we were at Red Lobster! I was really happy with the grilled plate I got because there was seafood and chicken and all very flavourful. Mom was so sweet to share some lobster, hanging out with both of you was a lot of fun! Although re-remembering it I feel like I should go for a run!

OMG you got to eat THE CHEESE BISCUITS OF ALL AWESOMENESS!!!!! I, like Jamie, despise sea food… but I will tolerate the smell of seafood just so that I can eat those!!!

Glad you got to have fun with your mom and sis, and the food looked… well… as yummy as seafood could look to me.
