I have a podcast!!! That is right! I have decided to talk about food with my actual voice and my first episode of For The Love Of Food (you can listen to it on iTunes here) is about how I started to move towards food. My foodie origin story.
Before there was COVID-19 there was my first time experiencing social distancing, not due to a pandemic but out of personal choice. At first, life on a mountain in British Columbia was amazing but then, everything changed. I learned coping mechanism of suddenly being forced to be alone through my love of nature, delving into creativity and finally discovering my new love of food.
Maybe my foodie origin story can help you get through your journey too? It is through our stories we grow, learn and connect. Feel free to write me with any questions you have or just for support. These are hard times but we will get through this. I was pretty much alone on a mountain for over three years. It is during this time we can find out path to new loves and joys in our lives.
I hope you enjoy it! I find it quite amazing how so much of what we are going through right now is mirrored in my experiences from the past. I hope my story helps in some way. Interviews, chats and other stories to come!

This is wonderful. I found your voice so soothing as you were telling your story and the addition of the photographs really helped paint the picture you were painting for us. Yeah Suzie !!!!

Oh thank you!!! I have always been sensitive about my voice Kris so that is very kind of you to say. I am glad you enjoyed the visuals that went with the story, that’s awesome!

Hi Suzie 🙂 I’m so happy I heard your voice, it’s lovely. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I would have thrived on that mountain in BC…I’m kind of the opposite, I prefer isolation rather than being social. I love having online friendships and sharing and interacting…but being alone, in nature, with my pets and my hubs – that’s paradise to me. Our isolation has been life per usual. We are keeping busy in our new home in New Brunswick! We got here 3 weeks ago and we’re fixing up our fixer-upper. Our view is the woods…it’s so peaceful. I can’t wait for your next podcast, what a great idea. Keep talking, keep sharing! Food is love! :))))

Oh thank you!!!! Yes, you would absolutely thrive, it is true, that is your realm and territory for sure! I think it would be more mine if I could drive. Funny I am in a densely populated part of the city now and feel quite isolated and alone. I am so happy to hear about your new home!!! What a fantastic project and place to live, I know you are going to be very happy there and yes, food is love!
