I had to come up with one bizarre Halloween drink this year and did I ever find it! Better Homes Candy Corn Drink. I will admit, I was a little afraid to make this one. If we did not like it that would be a lot of waste but I could not figure out how to make a smaller batch so here it is in full for you.
The Recipe
In a large bowl (oops, mine was too small) combine 4 serving size pkg of lemon-flavoured gelatine…
… With 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until dissolved.
Stir in 2 cups of mango nectar. Stir some more.
Pour mixture into a tall clear pitcher. Cover and chill for 2 hours or until thickened but not set. I totally forgot to not let it set and left mine overnight. Um… Life has been a little nuts lately.
Gently pour 3 1/2 cups of chilled orange pop on top.
You are supposed to make your own whipped cream but I had the bottle stuff (which is foodie blasphemy for me, story to come soon) and cover the top with cream. Using canned worked surprisingly well.
Instead of whisking the honey into the whipped cream, I just drizzled some on top.
To serve you are supposed to mix everything together and because I let my gelatine set, this was a bit of a challenge but not too hard.

I bet this is a lot like what bubble tea feels like to drink it! It was absolutely bizarre. Gelatinous chunks in ever laboured sip.
It also tasted like a creamsicle. A total wild and weird drink thanks to my screw-up for Halloween. I think making it like this is even more fun and bizarre which you all know, I adore.
I actually was surprised at how delicious this was. Unbelievably sweet, something I would only have once a year. Not for everyone though, this might freak some people out so if you do make it and do not want a weird consistency, do not let the gelatine set.
If you’re like me though, give it a shot. Why not?! Halloween is the time of year to be daring! Especially in the kitchen.

Well, whatever its taste or consistency, it looks just exactly like candy corn in a pitcher!
