What a birthday! I mean seriously! It just officially ended over the weekend and I would be remiss on not sharing the many foodie experiences I had.
Special Thanks To Square Boy
When I have had the chance to eat anywhere, I choose Square Boy.
Normally I get the burger with pretty much the works but when my friend Dawn and I went last summer after a concert she introduced me to the chicken souvlaki salad platter, OMG!
OK, almost a convert because it was so damn good.
But the burger is SO delicious that I rarely get a photo of it. You can see it in her right hand. We divided it in half and I ate it ASAP, totally forgetting to take a photo of it. Curses!
When I can’t take a photo of food because it is that delicious, well, that means I inhaled it before I got out my camera. Which, as you know, NEVER happens!
Birthday Square Boy
This year on my actual birthday I wanted a Square Boy burger, onions rings and gravy and I actually took the time to take a photo. It was hard. So very hard.
I know, onion rings and gravy, that is ridiculous, right? Ridiculously delicious you mean!
If you like big honking old school charcoal burgers, Square Boy is where it is at. Fantastic prices and the best burger of your life. At least for me.
Cadbury Caramilk Cake
I don’t know where they found it but my sisters got me a Cadbury Caramilk Cake! I especially loved the question mark on top because it reminded me of The Riddler but it is actually referring to the question, how do they get the caramel inside the cake?
Very good question because the caramel in the centre disappeared in a flash! This was an incredibly moist cake that had the exact same caramel as the chocolate bar. Delicious!
Gaming while having Square Boy burgers and finishing it off with this chocolate caramel cake was the best!
Jawny Baker’s
You would think the party ended there but nope! Family from out of town came over on the weekend and we went to Jawny Bakers for dinner.
Their Black and Blue tenderloin and blue cheese pasta is out of this world but check it out! Winterlicious was happening at the restaurant! I could not believe it. My first Winterlicious event and totally by accident.
I ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese which was delicious and my first! Although I do find it weird that they do not use macaroni and still call it Mac and Cheese but that is fine. So amazing I finally got to participate in this foodie event with my family.
The place was hopping with parties and we all took our time and enjoyed the long luxurious meal.
And yes… More cake!
I never thought I would ever write this or think it but… I think I am foodied out! It was incredible to be such an eating-out hedonist and I loved it with all my heart but I am actually making a vegetarian dinner tonight! I always believe that sometimes you gotta go to the dark side to appreciate the light and I say, bring on the fruit and veggies for a while.
That said, I am still working on candy making! So much to share with you, I can’t wait.
I can only be a foodie saint for so long.

I must confess that it has NEVER occurred to me to eat onion rings with gravy. That is why YOU are the Foodie QUEEN and I am not!
