I inherited a lot of vintage recipes and cookbooks and even this fantastic retro kitchen card from my mother-in-law Lorraine. I scanned it pretty high quality so if you want to use it, you can find the graphic here.
I absolutely love this image, especially since Lorraine had a stove similar to this one down at the family cottage. It was wood-heated stove and Reg used to chop wood for her to cook with.
She also had the biggest tea kettle in the world. This is part of kitchen life that I don’t want to see disappear so I am sharing it with you!
It’s a lovely graphic! I couldn’t help but notice that you speak of Lorraine in the past tense. Did Reg’s mom pass away too?
Thanks Debra and Lorraine is just fine. 🙂 It’s just she downsized a while ago so I am going through some of her stuff.
Okay — phew!
Thanks for sharing this! I would love to have an old stove like that!

A lovely image. Reminds me of an old fashioned cottage in the woods with the perfect storybook kitchen.
