One of the first places I went to during my trip to Toronto was back to Cake Town Cafe. I hung out there with my sister Shannon, as usual during my visits.
What a lovely and friendly cafe it is with lots of natural light. The last time I visited there was HUGE construction next door with a condo being built right beside it but it did not stop people from going. This time it was nice and quiet.
I absolutely had to try the Alfajores which are shortbread cookies with caramel-y Dulce de Leche layered in between.
I shared some with my sister Shannon and she shared her poppyseed cake with me. The cookies were so tender and flaky, they just dissolved in my mouth. This was one of the best treats I had on my trip!
I had a beautiful decaf Americano too which I enjoyed as I caught up with Shannon on a beautiful day in Toronto.
I am happy this is becoming a tradition during my visits and can not wait to go back and chat about art, life and sister-stuff again at Cake Town Cafe, hopefully sooner than later.
