$14.99 Steak at Montana’s #SteakEveryDay

$14.99 Steak at Montana's #SteakEveryDay

Back in May I told you about Montana’s $14.99 7 oz steak deal and I finally had a chance to try it myself.

The closest Montana’s to us is in Coquitlam, where we used to live before we joined the navy.

It is not exactly close to us now in Vancouver so we made a special trip.

There it was on the Sizzlin’ Summer Specials Menu: NEW 7oz hand-carved steak $14.99. Sweet!

Considering you get a few waffle fries to go with the meal, I wanted something more veggie-like so I also got the Caesar salad which was quite good.

The waffle fries were amazing and my steak was perfection! Although, I had to order a sauce to go with it. I can not have dry steak. They gave me some of their peppercorn sauce. Yum!

Reg got the full-size steak and it was a little over-cooked, unfortunately. Still delicious but not quite as perfect as my steak.

We decided to get dessert too and he got the mini cobbler but I ordered the shake ‘n share donuts.

They were all shaken by the time they came to our table and they were served with a caramel dipping sauce. I can not express just how delicious this dessert was. No, I did not share them with Reg, he was uninterested so I ate SIX of them! Yes, six of them and I do not regret a bite, they were so good.

Thoroughly filled to the gills we left the restaurant and decided to go visit our old hood. Up the mountain we went! We lived between the top of Eagle mountain and the ridge below it for three and a half challenging years.

We rented a basement suite at the top of the plateau and the view still takes our breath away. It was a tough time up there but we felt so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing nature and we had the best landlords in the world living above us.

We stopped by Rocky Point for a walk (hold the ice cream!) and took a moment to absorb the beauty of BC with super-full and happy bellies.

Montana’s, we will be back! Such a treat to go back to our old stomping grounds for a fantastic dinner and OMG, get the donuts. You won’t be sorry!

It was amazing! Totally worth the money and remember, it’s a summer deal so get out there and enjoy it while you can and get the donuts.

Mmmm, that DOES look good! I used to have an auntie and uncle who lived in Coquitlam. They’ve both gone to their rewards now. I don’t know if my cousins still live there or not.

It was incredible, still can’t believe it was just $14.99 for that steak! Well your aunt and uncle had good taste. Although Coquitlam has changed a lot since we moved here. It’s now covered in super-tall condos. We were thinking of living there again but down at the foot of the mountain but there is so little sunlight due to the buildings so we said no.
