Suzie the Foodie tests KitchenAid’s Diamond Blender

September 25, 2013 by Suzie the Foodie Leave a Comment

Watch me use the KitchenAid Diamond Blender for the first time in my kitchen. I make one of my favourite smoothies: Very Berry. Yum! Yes, I am wearing a Wonder Woman t-shirt because this video is totally legit. Reg and I had just been out doing some weeding and came in around dinner time to get supper going. Reg is my camera man for this video and totally cracked me up with his unusual refusal to say anything.

The blender is absolutely impressive, which you will see with the expression on my face in the video several times. My newsletter readers were the first to hear that I will be giving away one of these blenders on my blog. Want to know when exactly? Sign up for my newsletter. It’s free!

Very Berry Smoothie

Suzie the Foodie's Very Berry Smoothie

Makes 2 very large smoothies

3 ice cubes
1 cup mixed frozen berries
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1 tbsp honey
1 banana
1 cup of acai berry juice (I used V8)

This smoothie tends to be a bit dry and I often have to stop and mix it up with a spoon to bring it altogether. If you prefer thinner smoothies, add water or more juice.

Enjoy!
