White Spot Saves Thanksgiving

White Spot Saves Thanksgiving

So I am pretty darn sick. I almost always get sick for weeks after I get home from a trip and sure enough, I am wheezing and coughing as I type this. I have minimal food in the house and did not have the strength to go out and pick up a turkey breast or a roast for Thanksgiving.

As a result, Reg suggested we go out for dinner. I did some research and discovered White Spot regularly has a Traditional Turkey Dinner on their menu. That was it! We were going. They did not take reservations but assured us that because it was the holiday it would probably be quite quiet. We were not the only ones celebrating outside our own kitchens but there was not a wait. Perfect.

We also got the spinach and artichoke dip and wow, delicious!

You can not tell from the photo but there is a mound of stuffing underneath the turkey breast. Everything was cooked perfectly and what a treat to have a turkey dinner I did not have to make.

We finished the meal off by sharing a peach pie à la mode which was just delicious.

Thank you for saving Thanksgiving White Spot! You are our foodie hero!

White Spot is a real BC institution, isn’t it! We had a White Spot here in Edmonton for a while, but it went belly up. Now it’s an IHOP.

Feel better soon, Suzie! Happy belated Thanksgiving to you and Reg.

They really are all over the place here Debra! Too bad they didn’t do well in Edmonton and OMG, an IHOP instead???

Thank you! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and we ended up being able to go to meet Bruce Campbell last night and I didn’t cough all over him! It was quite epic.
