Wishcasting: Who do you wish to connect to?

May 13, 2009 by Suzie the Foodie 25 Comments

My Moo Cards Came!

Yesterday, my Moo cards arrived! Moo cards are mini photo business cards. I have been waiting a long time to get mine made because I did not know which element of me I wanted to promote.

In February I was terribly sick and in pain and on medication from hell, lying on my couch, holding on to it for dear life. All I knew was, despite the nausea caused by chronic vertigo from that medication, I wanted to be in my kitchen. Yes, I would prefer a kitchen out in BC but at that time, I just wanted to play with food again. I wanted food to be something that was fun and special and absolutely mine.

When I created this blog I went through a personal transformation from who I had been online to who I am now, a foodie. My focus of who I am and what I am about is becoming clearer and I know, we all go through cycles and change but for now this is what I want to be: a food writer, photographer and teacher.

My Wish for Wishcasting:

To connect with people through food. Whether they just look at my food photographs for fun, are desperate to know how to make the perfect baked potato or want to hire me for my foodie words and images, it’s gotta be all about the food.

I know I will never be as into food as you-that’s just not me-but I have been inspired by you to be more involved with my food, to cook more and eat fresher ingredients. I think you are definitely connecting people with food. 🙂
