The problem? They were way the hell up at the top of the mushroom stand! In fact, all the baskets of non-packaged mushrooms were at the top of the display.
Now luckily I have freakishly long arms but what about other people? What about people who are not tall, are in wheelchairs or are disabled? I started to get pissed off.
I have lived in a lot of places and I had never seen that before. I walked ALL the way to the local Loblaws, checked out Sobeys… This is what I saw. Their store is much smaller so of course they have to go vertical with their display but I never saw people in line for mushrooms like I always did when they were down at waist level.
The Added Frustration
I contacted the store about the issue and was assured that they liked the idea of bringing the mushrooms down from above so everyone could enjoy them. That was well over a month ago, perhaps two because I spoke with them right before I fell down the stairs.
The first couple of times I was mobile again I came in and no, they had not been moved. Grrr… But! Yesterday!
Foodie Miracle and Gratitude
Look!!! This is perfection. Now everyone can go through the individual mushrooms. Oh I am so glad this is a happy story and not an angry one!
Thank you Valu-Mart for implementing this change! I know it is going to help a lot of people and I hope you now sell even MORE mushrooms. Thank you also for letting me know where your coconut water was, I could not find it for the life of me and now I am enjoying it every day in my smoothies.
