Appetizer
With Christmas less than a week away, I thought I would share some of my favourite holiday treats and gift ideas. My sister Shannon introduced me to Triscuit Seasoned with Cracked Pepper and Olive Oil when I was staying with her in the fall. These are so tasty! Super peppery so kind of spicy too, use these to add some “BAM!” to your holiday appetizers.
Snack
I have to recommend President’s Choice Maple and Bacon Popcorn because I just bought some more bags for me for the holidays. Now just so you know, it is a crazy-strong bag of popcorn which my Facebook friend Heidi pointed out to me so only get if you can handle it. Mostly smoky with some maple sweetness… OMG!
Stocking Stuffer
I bought my Rice Cube years ago and it sat on my kitchen counter sad and lonely. I am so happy that I finally used it to make my own sushi with PC’s Tuna Tataki. I now feel so much more confident about learning how to make sushi and can not wait to play with it in the future. This would be a cool foodie gift or stocking stuffer.
Cookbook
The only cookbook that existed for me this year is Bake With Anna Olson. I made her bagel bites and focaccia and they came out perfectly. Now I did have a total foodie disaster making her brownies but I am sick and apparently my baking super powers have been compromised. Still, this is a gorgeous cookbook that I am personally going to be buying someone as a gift very soon. If you like baking, you will love this cookbook.
The Appliance
Again the Instant Pot continues to be my favourite appliance. This year I learned how to steam potatoes, cook perogies, make a beef and barley stew in it… It has been my biggest kitchen helper! I have had mine for three years and it is still going strong. Definitely my “I can’t live without it” appliance for 2016.
My Wishlist
My number one wishlist item is Gordon Ramsay’s Masterclass. To learn how to cook from Chef Ramsay himself from his own home to mine? That would be a dream come true!
There are a few of my favourite things from 2016 and one from 2017 that I hope to experience myself. I hope this helps you with your holiday shopping.

Cathy, that’s incredible! And quite a testament to how awesome a product it is. I would have two too if I could.

I bet that Gordon Ramsay cooking class already has a huge wait list! But wouldn’t it be fun!!

It’s true, I’ll probably be waiting forever if I ever get enough funds to take it!
